Celebrating, Connecting, and Supporting Caregivers

by | Nov 13, 2019

Tonya Hitschmann is the new Director of Community Programs at the ALS Association of Texas

November is National Family Caregivers Month, and we at the ALS Association of Texas cannot think of a better time to share our enhanced support for family caregivers, including youth and children involved in the ALS journey – with more communication and news that really matters; more tools and resources, and more connections. Connection matters. It matters to our patients, to YOU as a caregiver, and to the ALS Association Texas Chapter.

During National Family Caregivers Month in November and throughout the year, The ALS Association recognizes the most important resource in the lives of people living with ALS are their spouses, children and friends who love them the most. You are appreciated, and each week in November, we will be connecting with you to share another tool for your ALS Caregiver Toolbox.

This month, we will be focusing on how to take the best care of ourselves so that we can care for our loved ones living with ALS.

As the first tool in your toolbox, you are invited to attend a Stress Less on Purpose Workshop in Dallas.
