The Walk to Defeat ALS: A Community Celebration of Hope

by | Apr 9, 2018

What does it mean to be a part of the Walk to Defeat ALS? We’ve thought a lot about this question over the last few months.

Participation in this campaign can mean different things to different people, but overall, we think it can be summed up in these three words: Community, Celebration, Hope.

Community. Building and supporting a strong ALS community is vital. We will not create a world without ALS without strong connections to each other and our shared mission. We can only do this together.

Hope. Participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS campaign creates hope. Hope that no matter who you are, you can make an impact. Hope that our collective effort is moving our global mission forward. Hope that a world without ALS is within our grasp.

Celebration. When we join the Walk campaign, we are celebrating the lives of our loved ones who battle bravely. We celebrate the memory of those we lost. And we celebrate the progress we’ve made together to beat ALS.
